In Arizona's Valley of the Sun, Doug Brochu thrives overseeing Chives Eatery located within Stonebridge Manor's old world charm conveniently located within a five-minute exit off the freeway but a world apart amidst Mesa's aromatic orange groves. This is the corporate headquarters for Creative Hands Cuisine. It's not only a one-stop shop location for private and business celebratory events, board and association meetings, tastings, receptions and photo shoots but also the heartbeat of the company's custom kitchens and source from which all culinary inspiration develops, is prepared and presented.

Brochu leads the only authentic Manor in the Valley whose physical features and architectural style partners with the estate's comfortable interiors, complete with genuine, polished wood floors which acknowledge your presence as you pad about, feeling as though you've arrived home.

"Please, Sir, I want some more," is echoed beyond the time of Dickens' Oliver Twist and reiterated among Brochu's Valley clientele ranging from Nordstrom's guests of 50 to 4000, Valley country clubs or private residence personal chef events as well as partner Bella Palazzo's renowned hospitality estate events for Super Bowl guests, celebrities or bids wherein the photogenic In the past two years, Brochu secured $10,000 and 19,000 respectively during Crisis Nursery Center auction bids for his personal chef services at a Bella home.

This fund-raising factor is due, in part, wife, Camille, admits to the fact that Doug is "easy on the eyes". It's no coincidence that Brochu was affiliated with the Ford Modeling Agency, cast member of a national TV show and certified runway and photography model. His transition to a culinary career was prompted one day by a simple question from his mother: "Doug, what do you really love?" When the bells and whistles stopped chiming, Brochu realized his passion.

Brochu capped off his prior involvement as Founder/Owner of D.B.'s Tiki Bar; GM/Owner of J.B. San Trap (Myrtle Beach, SC) prior to serving as Executive Chef of Scottsdale's Cajun House and Desert Highlands Country Club, Pinnacle Peak as Executive Catering Chef after graduating from the USA's #2 culinary institution, the Scottsdale Culinary Institute.

It was the I can do that attitude that inspired Brochu to begin Creative Hands Cuisine, so named, as his wife/partner, Camille, and he merged their mutual professional careers in the healing and culinary arts to present their signature, upscale hospitality services with ne'er a duplication of customized menus. Brochu states: "Together, we share who we are with our clients through the medium of food and drink, completing the cycle from earth to table."

Brochu continues: "One of the most notable assets of Creative Hands Cuisine is our proximity to the immense and diverse agricultural wealth right here in Arizona. Creative Hands Cuisine applauds the heritage of Arizona's ranchers and farmers who provide us with healthy choices from which to present an authentic Sonoran Desert culinary palette."

With Camille directing Creative Hands Cuisine's marketing efforts, Doug manages a staff of 50 who are trained and empowered to extend the company's singular service at any and each occasion. Today, the Brochu's celebrate the birth of their first child, Kruz Joseph, while continuing development of their estate at Stonebridge Manor showcasing a recently completed state-of-the-art kitchen and busily preparing for taking the show on the road for an innovative TV series addressing a sorely-needed niche for today's savvy and health conscious consumers. But the chef practices what he preaches: he planted an organic garden at home and he intends to bring the fruit of his labors and those of other growers to a new Farmer's Market at Stonebridge Manor in the fall of 2008.

Oh, did we mention the Harley or running off to ski when possible during the winter? That kind of completes the Easy Rider Chef motif and that whole joie de vivre gadding about the Valley. Teacup Yorkies, Basil, Sage and Thyme share Brochu's home life and select public appearances. It's all part of the lifestyle choice Doug made to locate his business in the Southwest, sage advice he received from Master Chef Dale Miller with whom he apprenticed as he pursued his culinary passion.
